All members/observers coming to the Union hall must wear a mask upon entering the building. We will have hand sanitizer, masks, and nitrile gloves for anyone who requests/needs them.

Per the State of California: The following individuals are exempt from wearing a face covering: • Persons younger than two years old. These very young children must not wear a face covering because of the risk of suffocation. • Persons with a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that prevents wearing a face covering. This includes persons with a medical condition for whom wearing a face covering could obstruct breathing or who are unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove a face covering without assistance. • Persons who are hearing impaired, or communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication. • Persons for whom wearing a face covering would create a risk to the person related to their work, as determined by local, state, or federal regulators or workplace safety guidelines.

For anyone who is unable to wear a mask, we ask that you please leave at least 6 feet between you and other members. We have members who are elderly and/or high risk with underlying health conditions and need to protect the safety of all members. We appreciate your cooperation in what can sometimes be a contentious topic. Anyone refusing to meet this requirement will be asked to leave, as we consider it a safety issue and is non-negotiable. Thank you for your understanding.

As we mentioned in the Nomination addendum that was sent out and placed on union boards, you may also participate in the process via e-mail if unable or unwilling to abide by the above safety precautions. Please reach out to the Election committee with any questions or concerns at or (916) 974-6900.
